Myles Pensak, MD, is the H.B. Broidy Professor and Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and a Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Pensak is recognized internationally as an authority of diseases of the ear and skull base, with a particular interest in acoustic neuroma, petroclival meningioma, tumors of the jugular foramen and malignancies of the temporal bone.
A Board Certified neurotologist and otolaryngologist, he is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the Otologic and Neurotologic Societies and the American Laryngological, Rhinological and Otological Society (aka The Triological Society). He is the recipient of both the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Honor Award and the Distinguished Service Award. In 1992, he was awarded the acclaimed “Mosher Award” by The Triological Society.
His clinical expertise has earned him recognition in “Best Doctors in America” and “America’s Top Doctors”. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer, University of Cincinnati Physicians; Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine; and Senior Vice President, UC Health. His first authored papers have appeared in numerous professional journals, and he has presented his findings to scientific societies on both the national and international levels.

Thomas F. Boat, MD, is currently serving as Dean for the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine as well as President and Chairman of the Board of University of Cincinnati Physicians (UCP). He is immediate past director of the Children’s Hospital Research Foundation and past Chairman of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics. He was also physician-in-chief of Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati.
Dr. Boat earned his medical degree at the University of Iowa. A pediatric pulmonologist by training, Dr. Boat worked early in his career to define the pathophysiology of airway dysfunction and more effective therapies for chronic lung diseases of childhood, such as cystic fibrosis. More recently he worked at local and national levels to improve research efforts, subspecialty training and clinical care. He has a special interest in issues posed by mental health for patient care in primary and subspecialty care settings.
Prior to UCP, Dr. Boat joined Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 1993, after serving as chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Previously, he was co-director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine (IOM) and served as co-chair of the IOM Forum on the Science of Health Care Quality Improvement and Implementation, as well the IOM Committee on the Prevention of Mental Disorders and Substance Abuse Among Children, Youth, and Young Adults. He is currently Chair of the IOM Committee on Accelerating Research for Rare Diseases and Orphan Product Development.
Dr. Boat has been a member of the AAHRPP Board of Directors since 2004, and is currently past Board President. He has served as Chair of the American Board of Pediatrics and President of the Society for Pediatric Research, as well as, the American Pediatric Society.

Lori Mackey was named Chief Operating Officer of University of Cincinnati Physicians (UCP) in October 2008. With more than 22 years of health care experience, she is responsible for providing strategic leadership for operations, financial management and strategic planning for UC Health’s physician practices.
Prior to joining UCP, Ms. Mackey served as Vice President of Operations for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center for 16 years, where she was responsible for the finance and operations of over 400 physicians and scientists. Ms. Mackey was also a health care consultant for Deloitte & Touche. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio University in Athens, OH, with a double major in Finance and Economics and she received her MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH.
Ms. Mackey is an active member of the Medical Management Group Association (MGMA) and is the treasurer of the Association of Administrators in Academic Pediatrics (AAAP).

Peter Iacobell was named Vice President & Senior Director of Strategic Planning and Development for University of Cincinnati Physicians (UCP) in August 2010. His responsibilities include planning, development and implementation of various programmatic and enterprise-wide initiatives.
Mr. Iacobell’s career has encompassed hospital, health system and academic medical centers as well as physician practice management in both private and academic settings. Mr. Iacobell has worked at Michael Reece Hospital and Medical Center and Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, both in Chicago, Illinois, as well as the Mercy-Franciscan Health System and Wellington Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine, both in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has over 20 years of high level administrative experience in a variety of healthcare settings.
Mr. Iacobell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan, and a Master of Health Services Administration degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is an active member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), American College of Healthcare Executives, The George Washington University HSA Alumni Association, and serves as a director on a youth athletic organization’s board of directors. Mr. Iacobell has been married for 18 years; he and his wife have three sons.

Tom Ducro joined University of Cincinnati Physicians (UCP) in August 2003. Prior to joining UCP, he was Chief Financial Officer of Cincinnati’s largest private practice multi-specialty physician group. Mr. Ducro also has experience in SEC reporting. He is a CPA and began his professional career with Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Ducro received his MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, and his undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, OH.
Elizabeth Hilton was named Director of Access for University of Cincinnati Physicians (UCP) in March 2011. Ms. Hilton is working with the physician practices to develop procedures that ensure patients are able to obtain access to the appropriate clinical care as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Prior to joining UCP, Ms. Hilton spent nine years with ProScan Imaging, a radiology services provider in Cincinnati, OH, where she held a variety of roles including Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Management and Director of Teleradiology Operations.
Ms. Hilton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlesex University in London, Great Britain and an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH.
Rosemary Keiser was named Vice President of Ambulatory Service for UC Health University of Cincinnati Physicians in January 2012. With more than twenty years of leadership experience, she is responsible for the operations of ambulatory services for all of University of Cincinnati Physicians. She also carries the responsibility for integrating the strategic plan of the ambulatory services within UC Health’s overall operational structure and provides management oversight for the development of the quality, patient centered care, cost effective and integrated clinical programs. Prior to joining UCP, Ms. Keiser served as Vice President of Perioperative Services for UC Health, where she was responsible for the redesign of perioperative services. Ms. Keiser also held leadership positions at Christ Hospital and Good Samaritan. She holds a Diploma of Nursing from Grant Hospital School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and received her Master of Organizational Leadership from Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Charles Pangburn was appointed Chief Legal Councel for UC Health in January 2012 after holding the position of Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel for University of Cincinnati Physicians (UCP) since June 2011. His responsibilities include providing counsel, oversight and management for all legal matters arising out of UC Health and the practice-related activities of UC Health’s providers, clinical departments and programs.
Prior to joining UCP, Mr. Pangburn served in the Office of General Counsel of the University of Cincinnati and provided legal support to the Academic Health Center and the University’s Office of Research. His experience also includes 20 years of private law practice, during which he concentrated his practice in general business and corporate law, finance and regulatory compliance, and 30 years of active and reserve service in the Marine Corps, including a combat tour in Iraq in 2004. He received his Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, from the U.S. Naval Academy and his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the Villanova University School of Law.
Mr. Pangburn’s professional and community activities have included the Chairmanship of both the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Kentucky Consensus Committee and membership on the Boards of the Tri-County Economic Development Corporation, the Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau and The Point/ARC.
Chris Ralston began his career at University of Cincinnati Physicians (UCP) in 2003 as a Physician Liaison. Prior to that, he was in television news. His eight-year career in TV included stints at both the NBC and FOX affiliates in Cincinnati. Mr. Ralston worked various jobs in television including: sports reporter, sports producer, news writer, assignment editor and production assistant.
Today, Mr. Ralston heads up marketing and physician relations for UC Health’s physician practices, a group of more than 800 providers including 650 physicians.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN.
Mike Sterling was named the Director of Human Resources for University of Cincinnati Physicians (UCP) in December 2008.
He has over 25 years of experience in managing human resources, with expertise in HR operations, compensation and benefits administration, recruiting, employee relations, leadership training and development, financial management and organizational change management. Past experience includes Executive Human Resource positions with Education Management Corporation, Brown County Regional Health Care, Ernst and Young and IBM.
Mr. Sterling currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity and serves as adjunct faculty member for Northern Kentucky University, where he teaches Organizational Behavior.
