Pain affects every aspect of a patient’s life and without relief, pain can lead to the deterioration of a person’s physical and emotional well-being. The UC Health Pain Medicine Center utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to treat patients with the goal of reducing their pain, improving their quality of life and increasing their activity levels. Our treatments are tailored to the individual, since an approach that works for one patient may not work for another.
Our five major approaches to treatment are:
Medical Management
Physical Therapy
Interventional Techniques
Psychological Therapies
Surgical Techniques
State-of-the-Art Technology, Convenient Location
The UC Health Pain Medicine Center is located on the UC Health West Chester campus. Our office features modern technology and equipment that allows us to provide comprehensive treatments and the latest technologies all in one convenient location. Some patients may even be evaluated and receive a procedure in the same day, resulting in less time off work.
In addition to the general procedures offered for the conditions listed above, our physicians focus on creating treatment plans for multiple other injuries and pain conditions that are often hard to treat with typical protocols.
Vertebral Compression Fractures – Vertebroplasty is a minimally-invasive procedure used to restore the vertebra with hardened cement, stabilizing the vertebral structure and relieving pain. The best candidates for vertebroplasty are those patients who have recently suffered a compression fracture and are having moderate to severe back pain.
Osteoarthritis of the knee – Our non-operative treatments offer relief for patients who are not candidates for knee surgery. FDA-approved knee therapies can offer relief by replacing the damaged joint fluid with a substance that has cushioning and lubricating abilities similar to those of normal healthy joint fluid.
Acute Pain & Chronic Back Pain – We provide comprehensive evaluation for chronic pain patients and coordinate care between your other physicians and specialists.
