Steven R. Lindheim, MD, is the Director of the UC Center for Reproductive Health and serves as Director of the Oncofertility Consortium. Dr. Lindheim previously served as Scientific Director for the San Diego Center for Reproductive Surgery and as Division Chief and Medical Director for the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He graduated from the Temple School of Medicine and was a resident at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Lindheim completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California and received his Master’s in Medical Management at Tulane University in New Orleans. Dr. Lindheim is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Lindheim is a well-recognized expert in the field of assisted reproduction, has over 90 scientific publications and serves on national committees including the Society for Reproductive Surgeons, the Androgen Excess Society and the Bioethics Law Institute. He has established Surgical Centers of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Lindheim’s areas of interest and research are in-vitro fertilization, third party reproduction, bioethics, minimally invasive surgery, robotically assisted laparoscopy, myomectomy and tubal ligation reversal. Dr. Lindheim’s empathetic and personal approach to couples seeking gynecologic and reproductive care has been recognized by his peers who awarded him a Top Doctor and he has been named one of the Best Doctors in America. Recognizing the need for patient education, Dr. Lindheim has been an active participant in societies such as Resolve and the American Infertility Association.
